Dr. Natalie Ebner receives New NIH/NIA R01 Award

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Natalie Ebner on receiving a new National Institutes of Health (NIH)/National Institute on Aging (NIA) R01 award!

Dr. Ebner’s new project, “Understanding and Enhancing Interoception Toward Reducing Exploitation Risk in Aging and ADRD: Mechanisms and Trainability” (R01AG103545), will examine the mechanisms that support deception detection in older adults, including those living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

The project will also investigate pathways to improving interoception and deception detection among cognitively healthy older adults and individuals with mild cognitive impairment. Ultimately, this research aims to inform interventions that could help reduce the risk of exploitation among older adults.

Congratulations, Dr. Ebner, on this important achievement and continued contribution to aging research! We look forward to seeing the impact of this work.
