MBI director Dr. Todd Golde discusses use of rodent models to study neurodegenerative disease

McKnight Brain Institute Director Todd Golde, M.D., Ph.D. teamed up with colleagues at Johns Hopkins and Harvard universities to review the current state of using rodent models to study neurodegenerative diseases.

In a review published today in the journal Nature Neuroscience, the team writes that while there are limitations, appropriately used mouse models increase knowledge of fundamental biology relevant to the human condition and can guide development of future therapies.
